Ocean’s Eleven

OK so looking at my history I watch this film way too often, but my excuse this time is that I’m here off the back of the more recent Clooney/Roberts film Ticket to Paradise¹.

The first scene between the two is indeed electric, and tells you so much about both characters while leaving so much unsaid. It’s not quite Out of Sight² levels of chemistry but it’s a brilliant exchange.

The Claire de Lune sequence at the end is a masterpiece, it’s so beautiful that I welled up at bit this time. It’s a shame they felt the need to tack on one extra bit before the credits.
