Fury

Ideals are peaceful. History is violent.
23 January 2015

The story of a Sherman tank in WWII, and the American soldiers within. Brad Pitt leads the crew as they face off against the Germans, in Germany.

This is an unpretentious film, a series of events with the core characters tying them together. Sounds dull but it’s well written and the action scenes are well shot. This also leaves room for the audience to have their own thoughts and opinions on what happens.

Whilst it doesn’t bring anything new to the table for its genre, Fury is still a powerful, emotional film. This is largely thanks to a great performance from Pitt, and top of the line cinematography.

Not a ground breaking film but definitely one of the better ones of 2014 despite its cliches.
