Girls Trip

This is my second viewing of Girls Trip and I found it funnier than the first time, and the end even duller than the first time.

The last 20 minutes don’t hurt it too badly, but it does leave you with a bitter taste in your mouth and no desire to re-watch it. Everything just stops being funny, gets serious, then the film ends. We don’t need to be told about how the girls feel, we’ve seen it in the flesh!

I don’t want to sound like a downer though - Girls Trip is a hilarious romp through New Orleans that maintains its party spirit for a good 90 minutes. That’s more than enough for all of us watching it on a New Year’s Eve party.
