I only saw this a couple of years ago1 but I loved it back then, and it felt too good to pass up on our midnight run through comedy history.
Still hilarious. Putting Grodin and De Niro together was a stroke of genius, and even on a (relatively recent) second viewing their chemistry is gold. They flesh out characters that otherwise wouldn’t have been that interesting, and they build a quiet bond that isn’t strictly in the script.
Quickly becoming a favourite of mine.
