Star Wars Episode II - Attack of the Clones

Why do I get the feeling you’re going to be the death of me?
12 September 2014

I don’t know where to start. This is a different beast to The Phantom Menace, but it’s still excruciatingly dull.

We join our buddies Anakin and Obi-Wan about ten years on, where it appears they have developed a back story. They then get into loads of lightsaber fights and there are also loads of other people with lightsabers now.

Everyone in the film seems to know what’s going on, which means we don’t ever get an explanation. What results is a seemingly random sequence of polished CG imagery. It’s cold, senseless and really boring.

Nothing is good here. The action, the terrible love story, the writing, the acting… it’s all steeped in mediocrity.

Again, having just watched the old films, this is just sad to see. It’s a decent franchise, butchered by greed and a desire to sell crap tons of action figures. Ugh, only one more to go.
