Practical Vim

Edit text at the speed of thought.

I use Vim for almost everything that requires a text editor, from writing this article all the way to coding. With a bit of practice you can manipulate text as quick as you can think, without ever having to remove your hands from the keyboard.

Practical Vim is a collection of ‘tips’ to help you get the most out of the editor. It ranges from simple things like shortcuts you might not know about, to more advanced content like how to properly use the search function.

This is a fantastic resource for all Vim users, at all levels. If you are just starting out, you may wish to get used to navigation etc first, but once you have the basics down, Practical Vim has something for everyone. A real gem you’ll come back to again and again.
