One of the best looking films ever made, with one of the greatest final scenes. And yet Woody Allen thought he failed so badly he never wanted it to be released.
He captures the folly and madness of human relationships and sets it to the grandest scale he can imagine. It’s funny, romantic, breathtaking and heartbreaking. A careful dance of wit and grandiose cinematography.
One of my favourite films, and a perfect companion to Annie Hall.
