I think there’s something you need to know about Greta.

A young waitress (Chloë Grace Moretz) finds a bag on the subway and returns it to its owner, Greta (Isabelle Huppert). They strike up a friendship but things quickly turn sour as Greta becomes obsessed with her.
Greta is old style B-movie schlock tarted up with A-grade performances, and fortunately the latter stands out over the former.
You’ve seen it all before. Girl gets stalked by a crazy person and bad things happen. However the script takes some care to prevent getting too stupid and Huppert seems genuinely deranged, so against all odds Greta works quite well.
Not particularly memorable, but effective enough to give you chills in the moment. I give this 6/10 COVID-19 lockdown points.
