Avengers: Endgame

“If I tell you what will happen, it won’t happen.”

Doesn’t quite hold up as well second time around. The sheer volume of characters packed into the film at the end turns the final battle into a bit of a mush.

That said they probably were contractually obliged to include everyone from every film ever—I doubt anyone else could have done better.

The real emotional beats of the film still work though, making Endgame a success where it could have been a total disaster. They stuck the landing, and ulimately I think after all those years of films woven into each other, that’s all anyone wanted.
