Good on Paper

For me, this story was not about love at first sight.
08 July 2021

A comedian (Iliza Shlesinger) meets a wealthy man (Ryan Hansen) on a plane. They become friends, and after some reluctance she agrees to be his girlfriend. However, he might not be all he claims to be.

This is a scary and captivating true story, turned stand-up bit, turned film. Somewhere along the way the comedy gets lost and even with a short run-time it gets stretched out quite thin.

Were it not a true story, would it be a slightly confused and less well made Promising Young Woman? This reviewer certainly thinks so!

Still, while it might fail to make you laugh, Good on Paper does entertain. Can’t say that about much these days.
