They showed this outdoors here in Sheffield as part of a two week festival, showing multiple films a day on a gigantic screen outside the Crucible theatre. It was great to see such a beautifully made film up on the big screen.
It was also great to share it with a group of people, all laughing along. I’m too young to have seen it in the cinema so a big thank you to Sheffield council for putting this on for free. Quite a few people walking by stopped to watch it and discovered Mel Brooks’ genius for the first time.
