To All the Boys: Always and Forever

“Life is beautiful, and messy, and never goes according to plan.”

The end (?) of the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy. As Lara Jean (Lana Condor) prepares to go to college, she must decide whether or not to stay with her boyfriend Peter (Noah Centineo).

This franchise lost me at the second instalment and I can’t say I’m any more won over by this one. It’s competent, but the skittishness in the plot really hurts here. We’re in Seoul, we’re in New York, we’re doing a wedding, there’s a prom. It’s all there as a background to Lara Jean and Peter’s evolving relationship, but really you have to suspect it’s also there because we need a distraction. They are one supremely boring couple.

Still not something I’d recommend.
