Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale

More Downton Abbey. This time, Noel Coward comes to visit, and Mary deals with the social ramifications of a divorce.

At one point my wife turned to me and mouthed “I’m so bored”. It’s hard not to echo that sentiment. This series just doesn’t work as a film, and the total refusal to commit to any one story line is frustrating.

Now Maggie Smith is gone, no one gets any funny lines either.

An inoffensive but unsurprising and not particularly entertaining ending to the series. Please, put it to bed now.
