KPop Demon Hunters

A KPop girl band of demon hunters face off against a boy band made up of, you guessed it, demons.

Clearly I’m not the target market for this - neither KPop nor demons are really on my radar - but it’s hard to diss this film too much. It’s wonderfully animated and has a breezy sense of humour. If like me you know nothing, you might think this is just more Netflix dross but no it’s a film someone has actually poured time and money into and the results show.

I liked but didn’t love the music. The plot is a bit paint-by-numbers and it lost me in the final third. All that said you could do much worse than this, and I can imagine the parents of KPop obsessed kids worldwide are breathing a sigh of relief that this isn’t completely unwatchable.
