Classic Cars and Wales

I went to the NEC Classic Car Show this year with my dad. I didn’t get very many good pictures but did have a great time. It’s always fun to hang out with him, but at car shows he gets proper nerdy and I love it.
I took the Pentax 17 again just because it fits in my pocket so well. I picked Cinestill 800T as the film because I thought it might work well indoors. It’s not bad!
Further down the page there are some quick shots from a short break we took to a cabin on the Llŷn Peninsula in Wales.

Already I think you can start to tell I’m struggling with the zone focus, and also framing stuff when there are 40,000 people milling around you.

Also also, I don’t think cars photograph that well in a conference centre. I just struggled to come up with ideas sometimes.

Right and now a couple from Sheffield

Then it’s over to Wales for the weekend.

Perhaps North Wales in November is only for the brave, but we just wanted to get out of town and zone out by the fire with a sea view.
It was total chaos getting there, rain, fallen trees and darkness all the way. In the morning we woke up and sure enough, great view!

This was a National Trust place way out on the peninsula, sort of around Abersoch. Wonderfully restored cottage, although a bit pricey and especially pricey in the summer months.

I always used to take pictures of boats as a kid so I couldn’t resist this time. These were in Abersoch.

Anyway that’s the lot from this roll. Lots of hit and miss this time especially at the car show, but I do like the Cinestill 800 in certain situations. Maybe it’s a bit grainy for half frame but it’s winter here and the nights are long so needs must!
I lost some shots due to the camera jamming, but there is another roll coming possibly from the same holiday and beyond. I had hoped to use my Pentax MX but it jammed on me also - not the best of luck! It was nice to just kick back though and I’d recommend the peninsula in the shit season to anyone looking for some peace and quiet. You might even get to see the sun.
