Some pictures around Sheffield

We went on the Sheffield Round Walk to take in some autumn orange leaves and sure enough, it was really beautiful, in spite of my rubbish photos.

I thought Kodak Gold 200 might be a good choice, and it was for a bit but as we lost the light the pictures were just too shaky.

I’m still enjoying this Pentax 17 I’ve been mucking around with. It’s not all hits as you’ll see later but when it hits it hits gooood.

It really is the best time of year to come on the round walk. It’s 15-ish miles of city and woodland, going through a few valleys.

It was all going well until we entered the Porter Valley, which was a beautiful walk but one that is more sheltered.

Then by the time we’d reached the top of the river, the light was too dim. It’s a shame because the next leg, the Limb Valley, was really pretty. But for this film at this hour in the shade I just couldn’t pull it off - loads of blurry shots!
This horse the second to last one I have that is usable.

I managed to get one photo by resting on a fence, and that was pushed one stop. It’s a shame I stuffed up the framing but I still like it and chose it as the banner image for this post.

Then I went to town and to the park, mainly just to mess about and use up the last shots before sending them to the lab.

I like Renault Twizys even though they are pretty fucking stupid.

I managed to find a bright-ish window to go to Weston Park, it’s also nice this time of year.

So many ducks this time around. They pose well for the camera.

It’s all a bit uninspired I think.

Except this one I like this one:

Basic things like “holding the camera straight” are still beyond my powers.

Anyway I wasn’t super happy this time around but as I write this piece I start to see stuff I like in the bunch. I guess the lesson is, make pictures when the sun shines.
