Trick ‘r Treat

A halloween based horror anthology film, where each story set in the same town overlaps with the other.

This went straight-to-DVD back in the day, which does seem a shame given its reasonably smart plot and delightful little twists and turns. What it lacks in production value it makes up for in good writing and a good cast (Brian Cox, Anna Paquin, Dylan Baker among others). There’s also a sense of playfulness and fun to it which I found appealing.

Not the finest in its genre but there are far worse horror movies out there for sure.
