A Couple of Classic Cars at Clungunford

The classic car show vibe in a photo. It’s fun talking to people about their weird obsession with whatever paint colour they chose for their Commer Camper van.

Bonus points if it’s in a place with a ridiculous name.

This is off the back end of my first roll with a Canon VI-L I got off eBay. I like it a lot, despite a slightly cloud viewfinder and maaaaybe issue with infinity focus I need to look into.

Again the car show vibes are strong here. It was bloody hot that day but people were nonetheless out in the field, nerding out and buying and selling bits of automotive tat.

I felt like I had to post this Alfa because it’s not just new camera day but it’s also new film day - Ferrania P33! Made in Italy! And just like Italian cars it’s charming but fickle and not always easy to work with.

But the ones that did come out, I really loved. I didn’t think I was such a fan of contrasty images but this Ferrania stuff seems to capture a different vibe.

I shot 4 rolls of it over the last few months and might post some more here when I get the chance.

Bit thin on the ground today for photos… I had a disaster! The film got stuck in the canister as I was unloading it in the bag. I pulled pretty hard and could have sworn I’d hit the end, so I snipped it with the scissors.

When I got the canister out later I was fiddling with it and, uh oh, the last 30% of my roll was still in there! You can see the point where I cut.

Those photos would have been terrible anyway.
