Sheffield on half frame, bis

A building that says W E Harrison

I’ve been out and about again. I keep trying to tear myself away from the Pentax 17 but it’s just so portable and unobstrusive, it always ends up being the camera I take with me.

This was developed all in one go along with the retina stuff1, but it was much more recent.

The banner image is right by my work. If you live around here you’ll know it, it’s quite a vivid purple colour. A great subject for black and white!

A back alley stairwell

I love it when you go down a back alley and it’s just a hodgepodge of windows, stairs, balconies, fire escapes etc

A man walking

I am a “street photographer” now.

A tall building

I’ve taken this exact photo many times but I like this one. I think the way the framing landed just so was nice. Perhaps the lighting could have been better.

A modern looking building

Ok this one took me frigging ages to figure out where it was, and guess what it’s like 2 minutes from my house. I know this because I just walked past it now and the light bulb went on over my head.

An old building

Converse to the other one, I do quite like the lighting here. It’s at the top of a steep hill and you can just kind of start to feel that when you notice the buildings stepping away.

A church

This is a lecture theatre now, I have to sneak in some day and have a look. One of the back doors suggests there are apartments in here, again I cannot imagine what they must look like.
