Aladdin

Prince Ali got you to the door, but Aladdin has to open it.

A live-action remake of the Disney animation classic.

Well this is just all round quite bad. From Will Smith’s bizarrely buff bluefaced computer genie to the awkward (albeit incredibly attractive) lead couple and hastily assembled songs, this is a new low for Guy Ritchie.

In fact it’s hard to believe he directed this. Any trace of his distinctive style is gone. Yes, make Lock Stock jokes all you like but he’s doesn’t always use violence to get your attention. Aladdin feels like it could have been made by anyone.

Another lacklustre, cynical remake in a long line of them.
