Terminator 2: Judgement Day

Hasta La Vista, Baby.
29 August 2019

One of the greatest sequels of all time (from the master of sequels…).

Everything is bigger and better than in The Terminator1. The special effects are astonishing compared to what they made just 7 years before. It’s so well made that it holds up compared to films in the cinema today.

It’s a clever twist to make Arnie the good guy this time. Pitting the old and new models of cyborg against each other makes raises the stakes and makes the villain even scarier.

The screenplay has a bit more meat on its bones, and while the singular vision is what makes the first film work, the slightly more bloated story doesn’t hurt T2. The relationship between Sarah Connor, her son and Arnie was an avenue worth exploring.

What Cameron did with Aliens he managed again here. A blockbuster masterpiece. It was a privilege to be able to see these two on the big screen!
